AI Kill Switch
Every product we ship has a hard off-switch.
“If a user wants zero AI, they get zero AI — no degraded UX, no nags.”
- Every AI-powered feature ships behind a per-user toggle that defaults to on or off based on your call.
- The off state is a first-class citizen: no broken layouts, no "limited mode" nag screens, no upsells.
- Admins get a global kill switch for the entire workspace or tenant.
- The toggle state survives reloads, sessions, and version upgrades.
Full opt-out
Off means off — including training, telemetry, and silent calls.

- When AI is off, no prompts leave the user's session. No silent background calls "just to keep the index warm".
- We never use client data to train third-party models. Period. This is documented in the contract.
- Telemetry on AI features is opt-in and named — we don't bury it under "product improvement".
- If a vendor changes their policy, we tell you within 7 days.
What we won't do
The AI features we refuse to build.
“Some "AI features" are just bad product. We'll tell you before we take your money.”
- We won't ship an AI chatbot where a search box would do.
- We won't auto-generate content that pretends to be human-written.
- We won't add unrequested "summarize this" buttons that hide the actual content.
- We won't sell you an "AI strategy" if the honest answer is: this product doesn't need AI.
When AI does belong
We do ship AI — when it earns its place.

- Search and retrieval over your own data (RAG) — when traditional search hits its ceiling.
